Jorge Hernansanz Biel

Jorge Hernansanz Biel is a research fellow at Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen since March 2024, with prior experience as an academic assistant at Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research, University of Copenhagen from August 2020 to January 2024, and as an undergraduate student researcher at the same institution from January 2020 to June 2020, focusing on drug-drug interactions. In addition, Jorge completed an extracurricular internship at Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS) in early 2019, involving small RNA sequence alignment related to COPD disease. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Bioinformatics specialized in computer science from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen (2020-2022), a Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics from ESCI-UPF (2017-2020), and initial studies in Economics at Universidad de Zaragoza (2016-2017).
