Melissa is a results driven senior leader with over 17 years of sales team leadership, development and partnership experience. She has a track record of consistently exceeding business objectives though a servant leadership style approach to working with her teams. She is big on setting high expectations, leading by example, maximizing team talent through skill development and creating a high performing culture of performance accountability. After graduating with dual B.S. degrees in Kinesiology and Psychology from Arizona State University, she had intentions of going to Physical Therapy or Chiropractic School but instead started her corporate career in higher education as an Enrollment Advisor with University of Phoenix, specifically working with students interested in the healthcare field. After a year in that role, she was quickly promoted to management and led a team of 20 Enrollment Advisors who recruited for students pursuing a career in education while also earning her own MBA at night after work. She led the recruitment and operations processes for all 3 Phoenix and Las Vegas Campuses before venturing to her next role as a Recruitment Director for Pearson - specifically working with their ASU Partnership/Marketing teams. She led a team of 60 Enrollment Advisors and 4 Recruitment Managers to exceed all new student recruitment, SQL generation and pipeline conversion goals during her tenure. Melissa is strong team player who is passionate about goal achievement and helping others do the same. In her free time she can be found anywhere with her dog Coco, hiking up a mountain, eating sourdough bread, volunteering with rescue dogs, at the gym and/or beating someone at ping pong.
