Dr Timothy Mills has extensive work experience in the education sector. Dr Timothy is currently serving as the Executive Director of Primary Education at STEP Academy Trust since September 2020. Prior to this role, they held various positions within the same organization, including Director of Teaching and Learning and Executive Headteacher. From 2014 to 2016, they were the Headteacher at STEP Academy Trust.
Before joining STEP Academy Trust, Dr Mills worked as the Deputy Head Teacher at Latchmere School from 2011 to 2014. Dr Timothy also served as a Local Consultant for Improvement, supporting writing, in Richmond-upon-Thames from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they held the position of Advanced Skills Teacher in Richmond upon Thames from 2008 to 2011.
Dr. Timothy Mills began their education at Denstone College from 1975 to 1980. Dr Timothy then attended the University of Liverpool from 1980 to 1983, where they pursued a degree in Economics & Business Studies. In 2003 to 2004, they studied at the University of Surrey and completed a PGCE in Education. Continuing their education, from 2009 to 2011, they obtained a Master's degree in Education leadership from St Mary's University, Twickenham. Lastly, Dr. Timothy Mills engaged in further studies at Liverpool Hope University and earned a Doctor of Education - EdD degree in Education between 2017 and 2022.
