John McLain

John McLain is a seasoned professional in global trade compliance, currently serving as the Director of Global Trade Compliance at Stepan Company since August 2020. Previously, John held significant roles at Honeywell International, Inc., including Chief Trade Lead for Global Strategies and Compliance, where the establishment of a Center of Excellence streamlined trade compliance across a global team. With extensive experience in the field, John also led international trade compliance for a $10B division at Honeywell Performance Materials and Technology and provided legal counsel on regulatory matters at UOP. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Michigan Law School and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan.
