Mollie Book has a diverse work experience in the education field. Mollie began their career as a Corps Member at City Year in 2013 and later worked as a Literacy Mentor at The Reading Team in 2014. Mollie then pursued further education and became a Reading Specialist Graduate Student at Teachers College, Columbia University from 2014 to 2016, where they gained knowledge and skills in helping individuals with reading and writing difficulties. Additionally, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the same institution in 2015. Mollie also worked at The Stephen Gaynor School as an Assistant Teacher from 2015 to 2016 before taking up the role of Head Teacher at the same school starting in 2017. Prior to these roles, they were actively involved in the Temple University Honors Program, serving as a Honors Peer Mentor and a Study Abroad Ambassador in 2012 and as a result of their invaluable experience, they developed expertise in mentoring and advising students.

Mollie Book earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from Temple University in the years 2008 to 2012. Subsequently, from 2014 to 2016, they pursued a Master's degree in Reading Specialist at Teachers College, Columbia University. Mollie also holds an Instructional I Professional Certificate in English 7-12 from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
