Jerod Quinn has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of instructional design and educational technology. Jerod currently holds the position of Director of the Center for Teaching & Learning at Stephens College since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Associate Director for Instructional Design at Wake Forest University, where they shaped instructional design efforts and supervised instructional design staff. Jerod also served as an Instructional Designer in the same institution, collaborating with faculty to design high-quality online and blended learning experiences.
Before joining Wake Forest University, Jerod worked as an Instructional Designer at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2015 to 2021. In this role, they provided pedagogical and curricular consultation, developed online courses, and supported instructors in the use of educational technologies. Jerod started their career as an Instructional Developer at Saint Louis University from 2011 to 2015.
Jerod's earliest professional experience was as a Senior Multimedia Specialist at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2007 to 2011. In this role, they designed and developed various forms of media to enhance learning objectives for online classes.

Jerod Quinn received their Bachelor of Arts in Religion/Religious Studies from Missouri State University in 2003. Jerod then pursued a Master of Education in Learning Systems Design and Development from the University of Missouri-Columbia, which they completed in 2010. Recently, in 2023, Jerod earned their Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained certifications such as Advanced Design Thinking and Foundations in Design Thinking from IDEO U, a Graduate Certificate in Quantitative Research from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Certificate in Effective Teaching Instruction from ACUE, and certifications in Higher Ed Peer Review and Applying the QM Rubric from QM Quality Matters.
