Shankar R.

Shankar R. has a strong work experience background, with over 35 years of experience in various industries. Shankar started their career as a Trainee Engineer at Indian Rayons Corporation in 1984 and then worked as a Production Engineer at GHARDA CHEMICALS LIMITED from 1985 to 1989. Shankar then joined Asian Paints as a Sr Production Executive from 1989 to 1996. Shankar R. later worked at Castrol as the Head of QA from 2001 to 2004. Shankar then joined BP and held the role of Head HSSE for BP Alternative Energy and HSSE Manager for BP Transcontinent from 2004 to 2007. Shankar R. then worked as the Head of HSEF at Essar Oil from 2007 to 2010. After that, they served as the Global Head SHE & Sustainability at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories from 2010 to 2013 and as the VP EHS at Pfizer from 2013 to 2016. Shankar then worked as the Vice President at Tata Projects from 2016 to 2019. Currently, Shankar R. holds the position of Head – Safety, Quality, Systems, Sustainability and Process Improvements at Sterling and Wilson Solar since 2019. Throughout their career, they have achieved significant accomplishments, including implementing global HSSE standards, winning prestigious awards, and leading successful projects.

Shankar R. has a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the University of Indianapolis, which they obtained from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani from 1980 to 1984. Shankar also completed their Higher Secondary education in Science from St. Xavier's High School in India from 1978 to 1980. Shankar began their educational journey with their Secondary education in Science at St. Xavier's High School in India from 1970 to 1980. Additionally, Shankar has obtained various certifications, including Taking Charge, Winning over Situations: Impactful Presentations from Dale Carnegie in 2017, National Examination Board in Occupational Safety & Health from NEBOSH in 2007, and Certified Quality Engineer from QCI in 2001.
