Jeffrey Schappe

Jeffrey Schappe, CFA has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial industry. Jeffrey started their career in 1991 at 40|86 Advisors (previously Conseco Capital Management) where they served as Vice President, Portfolio Manager, and Director of Research until 1998. Jeffrey then joined George K. Baum & Company as Senior Vice President and Director of Equity Research from 1998 to 2000. In 2001, they became Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at Citizens Advisers until 2004. Jeffrey then moved to BB&T Asset Management (acquired by Sterling Capital Management LLC) as Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer from 2004 to 2010. Since 2010, they have been working at Sterling Capital Management LLC as Managing Director, where they manage Truist Financial Corporation's $16 billion corporate defined benefit pension plan. Jeffrey also serves as Chief Market Strategist, Chief Market Risk Officer, and Chair of the Investment Committee. Additionally, they provide investment oversight of the Sterling Capital Funds for the Board of Trustees.

Jeffrey Schappe, CFA holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which they obtained between 1979 and 1983. Jeffrey later pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) degree in Finance, Investments, and Banking from the Wisconsin School of Business from 1984 to 1985. In addition to their formal education, Jeffrey Schappe has also obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute, although the specific year of achievement is not provided.
