Derek Starkenburg

Derek Starkenburg is a Science & Math Teacher at Sterling Montessori Academy and Charter School, with previous experience as an Adolescent Science Guide at Montessori Community School. Prior to this, Derek worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Michigan, focusing on the CYGNSS project, and as an Exhibit Designer at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Geophysical Institute. Derek holds a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and a Master of Arts in Earth Sciences from the University of Northern Colorado.
