Ajay Chopra

Ajay Chopra has over 12 years of work experience in the legal field. Ajay is currently the Assistant Vice President of Legal and Compliance at Sterlite Power, where they lead the Contracting function of the Legal Team. In this role, they have implemented the ARIBA software for contract execution and established the Legal Centre of Excellence for the organization.

Prior to their current position, Ajay worked as an In-House Lawyer at ISOLUX CORSAN, where they were responsible for handling legal issues for projects in India and the South East Asia region. During their time there, they focused on drafting and negotiating various agreements related to infrastructural development, such as sub-contracting agreements and consortium agreements. Ajay also standardized sub-contracting agreements for supply, civil, and erection works contracts.

Before joining ISOLUX CORSAN, Ajay worked as a Senior Manager in Corporate Legal at Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd. Ajay started their legal career as an Associate at Luthra & Luthra Law Offices.

Ajay Chopra pursued their education starting from their primary schooling years. Ajay completed their 10th class CBSE at St. Peters' Convent School, Faridabad from 1999 to 2001. Following that, they attended DAV Public School, Faridabad, where they completed their 12th class CBSE in the field of Science + maths from 2001 to 2003. Ajay then enrolled at the National Law School of India University, where they pursued a B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) degree in the field of Law from 2003 to 2008.
