Márcio Souza

Márcio Souza has a diverse range of work experience in the field of electrical engineering and safety coordination. Márcio most recently worked as a Health and Safety Coordinator at Sterlite Power starting in April 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Safety Engineer at State Grid Brasil Holding from January 2012 to April 2019. Márcio also has experience as a Health and Safety Engineer at Light from January 2010 to December 2011. Márcio began their career as an Electrical Engineer at Grupo MPE - Montagens Projetos Especiais S/A in June 2008, where they were responsible for construction contracts, maintenance of electrical networks, financial control, and implementation of quality, environment, and health and safety policies. Before that, they briefly worked as an Electrical Engineer at Visatech do Brasil / COMW Teknotrafo Transformadores LTDA from February 2008 to June 2008.

Márcio Souza has a strong background in education, with a focus on environmental management and occupational safety. In 1997, they obtained their undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from UFSJ. Following this, in 2007, Márcio completed a postgraduate degree in Safety Engineering at Universidade FUMEC - Oficial. More recently, they pursued two specialized postgraduate programs: the first, from 2021 to 2022, in Quality, Environment, and Occupational Safety Management (SGI) at PUC Minas, and the second, from 2022 to 2023, in Environmental Management at Estácio.
