Joann Padilla

Joann Padilla has a range of experience in the fashion industry. Joann started their career as the Vice President of Design at Viva Sportswear in 1993 and held the role for five years. Following that, they worked at Address Unknown/India Garments as the Designer Director and Merchandise, where they were responsible for designing and merchandising collections for young men and junior girls. Joann also developed private label accessories and worked with major accounts such as Urban Outfitters and Nordstrom. In 2003, Joann started their own business, Aleya New York, as a Handbag Designer and Owner. Joann successfully launched the company and gained exposure in various media outlets. Furthermore, they secured accounts with notable retailers and showcased their line at industry events. Later on, Joann joined Steve Madden as the Vice President of Design in 2008. Overall, their work experience demonstrates expertise in design, merchandising, and entrepreneurship in the fashion industry.

Joann Padilla attended the Fashion Institute of Technology from 1988 to 1990, where they obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in Fashion Design.
