Yudong Yao

Yudong Yao is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology since January 2000, currently serving as the Director of WISELAB. Yao has held various roles at the institution, including Professor and Department Chair from 2007 to 2018 and Associate Professor from 2000 to 2007. Yao's teaching covers topics such as Introduction to AI Engineering and Wireless Communications, while research focuses on AI, machine learning, and deep learning applications in wireless communications and biomedical engineering. Prior experience includes a position as Staff Engineer at Qualcomm, where Yao contributed to Globalstar satellite system designs and CDMA cellular network designs, and as a Senior Engineer at Spar Aerospace Limited, specializing in satellite communications. Yao's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Southeast University and a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications.
