Heleen Bouwmans

Heleen Bouwmans is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in educational innovation, community development, and project leadership. As the founder of HB Social Design, Heleen designs change, leads expeditions, and teaches within vocational education and local communities. Currently, as Project Leader of Proeftuin Cultuur 023 | VRIJHAVEN at Hart Haarlem, Heleen is focused on enhancing the transition of students from VMBO to creative professions. Heleen also serves as a Principal Lecturer in Educational Innovation for school psychologists at RINO Amsterdam and Radboud University, fostering innovation through creative processes. Other roles include project leadership in various organizations aimed at building bridges in local communities and promoting multidisciplinary collaboration in education, research, and local governance. Heleen holds a Master of Arts in Art Education from HKU and a degree in Occupational Therapy from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
