Jesse Wheeler

Jesse Wheeler is a highly experienced academic and professional in the fields of fine arts, language education, and international partnerships. Currently serving as an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Fine Arts at Stillman College since March 2018, Jesse has also been the Executive Director of Encompass Brazil International since August 2012, focusing on establishing partnerships between universities in the United States and Brazil. Contributions as a JanTerm Instructor and Program Coordinator at Saint Mary's College of California include co-creating a popular study-abroad program. In addition to roles in various organizations such as President of the West Alabama Beekeepers Association and Board Member of the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra, Jesse has provided translation services and creative writing support for multiple companies. An accomplished educator, Jesse holds a PhD in Ethnomusicology from UCLA and an Executive MBA from The University of Alabama, among other degrees.
