Kristine Carlston

Kristine Carlston, SHRM-CP has extensive experience in human resources, with their most recent position being the Executive Director of Human Resources at Stillwater Area Public Schools since December 2023. Prior to this role, they held the position of Assistant Director of Human Resources at FRIDLEY PUBLIC SCHOOLS from August 2022 to December 2023. Kristine also served as a Human Resources Coordinator at the same school district from February 2017 to August 2022, where they managed day-to-day HR functions for a school district of approximately 500 employees. Before joining FRIDLEY PUBLIC SCHOOLS, Carlston worked as a Human Resources Representative at Anoka Hennepin School District from July 2012 to February 2017. Kristine began their career as a Human Resources Recruiter at Voya Financial (formerly ING, formerly ReliaStar Financial Services) in 1997, where they were responsible for full lifecycle recruiting and project management for enterprise-wide initiatives.

Kristine Carlston, SHRM-CP, holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Social Work from St. Cloud State University, which they obtained between 1987 and 1992. Kristine also has an additional certification as a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), acquired from SHRM in February 2021.
