John Muthui

John Muthui has a diverse work experience in the information technology field. John started their career as an ICT Consultant at Soft Tech Solutions Ltd Kenya in 2014. In this role, they provided consultation services related to information and communication technology.

John then joined ECLOF Kenya in 2014 as a Loans Processing Officer. Their responsibilities included loan application and sanctioning, as well as maintaining risk and compliance records. In 2017, they transitioned to the role of Data Analyst, System Administrator, and Network Support Specialist. In this position, they generated financial and market intelligence reports, identified data patterns and trends, and managed the flow of business intelligence information.

In 2019, John moved to Ed Partners Africa as an Information Communication Technology Officer. Here, they focused on security operations, cyber risk and intelligence, and data loss and fraud prevention. John provided real-time analysis of threats and helped the board understand potential security problems.

Currently, John is working at Stima Sacco Society Ltd as a Systems Administrator. John started in 2022 and is responsible for the administration and maintenance of the organization's systems. Additionally, they previously held the role of Assistant Network Administrator.

Throughout their career, John has gained extensive experience in system administration, network support, data analysis, and ICT consultation. Their expertise in these areas makes him a valuable asset to any organization in need of skilled IT professionals.

John Muthui began their education journey in 2014, when they enrolled at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. John pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology and completed their studies in 2016.

In terms of additional certifications, John obtained various certifications from different institutions. In August 2021, they obtained the CCNA certification from Cisco, specifically focusing on Introduction to Networks. In June 2022, they earned three more certifications from Cisco, including CCNA: Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation, CCNA: Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials, and CCNP: Core Networking.

Moving forward, in February 2020, John acquired certifications from IBM in the fields of Cloud Intro and Cybersecurity Intro. Additionally, they obtained the certification for Identify and Investigate Cybersecurity Threats from IBM during the same month.

Recently, in March 2023, John received a certification in Data Protection from Strathmore University.
