The Stimson Center
Igor Khripunov is a Nonresident Fellow at The Stimson Center since January 2019 and has served as a Distinguished Fellow and Adjunct Professor at the Center for International Trade and Security at the University of Georgia since January 2011. Khripunov specializes in research and writing related to nuclear and CBRN security culture, human factors, physical protection, and strategic trade control. Additionally, Khripunov is the Editor-in-Chief of The 1540 Compass, a journal published in six UN languages focusing on the implementation of UNSCR 1540, and provides consultancy services to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Education includes a Ph.D. program in international affairs and defense from the Moscow Diplomatic Academy.
