Benedikt Frenzl has been working in the scientific field since 2008. Benedikt began their career as a Lead Scientist at the Institute for Fisheries, Bavarian State Research Centre for Agriculture. In 2014, they moved to Loch Duart Ltd as a Research and Development Manager, where they were responsible for setting up and running a new R&D department and team. In 2015, they became the Head of Research and Head of Biology at Stingray Marine Solutions AS, where they were responsible for trial design and execution, scientific advice to the CEO and executive board, and all external and internal science and biology related projects and communication.
Benedikt Frenzl obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Aquaculture from the University of Stirling between 2011 and 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's Degree in Aquaculture and Fisheries from Wageningen University & Research between 2006 and 2008. Benedikt also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the Technological University Dublin between 2003 and 2006.
