The Company owns, manages and develops shopping centers, logistics centers, business parks, office buildings, residential communities and retirement living villages. It operates through four segments: Commercial Property, Residential, Retirement Living and Other. Its Commercial Property segment invests in, develops and manages retail, office and logistic and business park properties. Its Residential segment delivers a range of master planned and mixed use residential communities in growth areas, townhouses and apartments in general metropolitan areas. It has approximately 60 communities across New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia. It holds over 76, 800 lots in its portfolio. Its Retirement Living segment designs, develops and manages communities for retirees. It has over 9, 600 units in approximately 70 villages across over five states and the Australian Capital Territory.

The current leadership team at Stockland has a wealth of experience in investments and property management. The managing director previously worked at CPP Investments and the portfolio manager has experience working at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. Other members of the team have worked at Lend Lease in various capacities, such as head of capital transactions and group chief financial officer. The team is also well-educated, with degrees from universities such as Western Sydney University, Delhi University, and the University of Newcastle.
