Olivia Palmer is the Sustainability Coordinator at stok, a position they have held since June of 2021. Prior to their current role, Ms. Palmer was an Associate Project Consultant - Building Technology at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc. from June 2019 to June 2021. In this role, they supported the reimplementation of the internal Sustainability Practice Group, and encouraged internal application of sustainable building technologies with presentations on developing industry research. Ms. Palmer also provided expertise on Life Cycle Analysis, Sustainability Building Certifications, Product Category Rules, and Environmental Product Declarations. Additionally, they performed and reported on site visits, investigative testing, and building envelope assessments; developed building envelope details, specifications, and responded to Design Drawings, Submittals, and RFIs; and collaborated with manufacturers, contractors, and architects on projects.
Before Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc., Ms. Palmer was an Energy and Sustainability Intern at AHA Consulting Engineers from June 2018 to December 2018. During this time, they worked on a range of energy and sustainability projects. Ms. Palmer’s first engineering role was as an Engineer Co-op at Rye Development from January 2017 to June 2017. In this role, they assisted with the design of residential and commercial buildings. Ms. Palmer also has experience as a Design Drafter at Rimkunas Engineering, P.L.L.C., where they worked from July 2016 to August 2017. In
Olivia Palmer is currently studying for their Master of Science in Sustainable Building Systems and Bachelors of Science in Civil Eng. at Northeastern University. Prior to this, they attended Huntington High School. Olivia also has certification from the USGBC National Capital Region in LEED Green Associate.
