Donna Sonntag has a diverse work experience. Donna is currently working at Stoke Therapeutics as an Associate Scientist, a position they have held since October 2020. Prior to this, from November 2019 to October 2020, they worked at Enable Life Sciences as an Associate Scientist. During their time at Enable, they played a key role in developing products for use in Natural Killer cell immunotherapy and participated in developing cell-based immunological assays. Donna also co-wrote a successfully funded NIH Phase I SBIR grant and presented a research poster at a conference. Before joining Enable, they worked as a Quality Assurance Technician at DEKA Research & Development from September 2018 to February 2019. Donna completed their graduate studies at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where they served as a Graduate Student from September 2016 to May 2018. Additionally, they worked as a Research Technician at UT Southwestern from November 2014 to October 2015, where they studied transcriptional mechanisms that regulate differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells using zebrafish as a model organism. Finally, from September 2012 to October 2014, they were a Stay at Home Parent and self-employed.
Donna Sonntag completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Psychology from Florida State University between 2004 and 2009. Donna then pursued a Graduate Certificate in Molecular and Cellular Biotechnology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 2016 to 2017. Following that, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Biology, General from the same university, completing their studies in 2018.
