Nicholas Block, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at Stonehill College since July 2014, previously serving as an Assistant Professor at the same institution. Nicholas held a Visiting Assistant Professor position at Bucknell University from August 2013 to May 2014 and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Field Museum from September 2012 to August 2013. An Instructor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Nicholas also completed a Ph.D. in Evolutionary Biology at the University of Chicago, where research focused on avian phylogeography, biogeography, and speciation on Madagascar. Earlier experiences include roles as Lab Technician, Field Crew Leader, and Lab Assistant across various institutions, including Texas A&M University and Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory. Nicholas earned a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Science from Texas A&M University from 2004 to 2006 and studied briefly at Rice University in 1999-2000.
