Senior Associate Software Development Engineer at Stonewain Systems

Alexander George has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Alexander started their career as a Trainee in the Production Department at Gudel India Pvt. Ltd., where they supervised the manufacture and testing of material handling and Special Purpose Machine (SPM) projects. Alexander also worked on the development of automated systems for applications in automotive, food, and intralogistics fields. Alexander gained experience in working with PLCs, HMIs, control panels, industrial and gantry robots, industrial sensors and actuators, and pneumatics.

Following this, they joined the NYU Center for K12 STEM Education as an Office Assistant and later served as an Academic Instructor in the Summer Program for Automation Robotics and Coding (SPARC). Alexander assisted in the coordination of educational programs and taught students in the field of automation, robotics, and coding.

Alexander then became a Graduate Assistant at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, where they supervised undergraduate teams working on various projects in soft robotics. Alexander conducted structural analysis using ANSYS and designed and prototyped a two-way hand sign soft robot.

Alexander then worked as a Mechatronics Engineer at GeneFluidics, collaborating with team members on lab automation systems for R&D and FDA clinical testing. Alexander was responsible for maintaining robotic systems and improving production efficiency through system improvement projects.

Currently, Alexander is working at Stonewain Systems – An EquiLend Company as a Specialist Software Development Engineer. Alexander previously held the role of Junior Programmer Analyst in the development team, specializing in Enterprise Application Integration (EAI). Alexander'sresponsibilities included technology integration, deployment planning, and collaborating with business analysts to provide customer-specific services for the finance industry.

Throughout their work experience, Alexander has gained valuable skills in software development, mechatronics engineering, project management, and educational instruction.

Alexander George completed their Master of Science degree in Mechatronics and Robotics at New York University from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Industrial Automation from Vellore Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2011 to 2015.

Furthermore, Alexander has obtained several additional certifications related to machine learning and neural networks. Alexander completed courses such as "Convolutional Neural Networks," "Deep Learning," "Sequence Models," "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization," "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," and "Machine Learning" from Coursera. These certifications were obtained between September 2018 and February 2020.
