Sahaana Kesavan

Sahaana Kesavan is currently a Research Assistant at Stony Brook Medicine, focusing on novel therapeutics for colorectal and pancreatic cancer. With a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Stony Brook University, Sahaana has held numerous positions, including Resident Assistant, where responsibilities included mentoring first-year students and organizing community events. Sahaana served as a Teaching Assistant for various biology and chemistry courses, providing support and resources to fellow students. Leadership roles in Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity included Vice President of Recruitment and Vice President of Programming, where Sahaana planned events to facilitate recruitment and educational opportunities for pre-medical students. Experience as a Medical Assistant at Perlman Medical Wellness involved patient communication and medical chart management. Sahaana has also contributed to research projects in stem cell engineering and received a Poster of Distinction at DDW 2025.
