Durron J. Newman

Durron J. Newman serves as the Assistant Director of Student Personnel and Leadership at Stony Brook University since August 2012. In addition to this role, Durron is a YouTuber at Gym Grindz NYC and a small business owner at 1 People Entertainment and Fast Lane Speed & Explosive Development, both of which have been operational since 2016 and 2014, respectively. Previous experience includes serving as ASA/Junior Department Director at The Boys' Club of New York from April 2007 to August 2012 and Center Director at the Police Athletic League - Edward Byrne Center from January 2005 to April 2007. Durron holds a Master's degree in Education with a concentration in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management with a minor in Psychology, both earned from St. John's University.
