Kirsi Seppalainen has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. From 2011 onwards, they worked at Stora Enso, where they held positions such as VP of Commercial Planning and Product Management, SVP of Marketing, Competitive Intelligence, and Product Management, as well as VP of Marketing, Competitive Intelligence, and Product Management for the Biomaterials division. Kirsi also served as the VP of Strategic Projects and SVP of Communications at Stora Enso. Before their time at Stora Enso, Kirsi was the VP of Communications and Sustainability at Oy Metsä-Botnia Ab from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they worked as a Communications Officer at Uponor from 2003 to 2006. Throughout their career, they have been responsible for strategic planning, sales management, marketing, competitive intelligence, product management, customer insights, and sustainability initiatives.
Kirsi Seppalainen obtained their matriculation examination from Pohjois-Helsingin lukio in 1983. From 1984 to 1989, they pursued a Master of Philosophy degree in Translation and Interpretation, specializing in German and English, at the University of Tampere.
