Prasanth Balasubramanian

Prasanth Balasubramanian is a seasoned professional in battery technology and development, currently serving as the Manager of Application Development for Lignode at Stora Enso since April 2023, focusing on hard carbon suitable for Li-ion and Na-ion batteries. Previously, Prasanth worked as an R&D Senior Specialist, contributing to full cell development for lithium and sodium ion batteries. At Electrolux, notable achievements included developing testing labs for high-power lithium-ion cells and conducting cell and pack testing. Prasanth's earlier roles include Development Engineer at Scania Sveriges, where integration of aging models in product development was a key focus, and Postdoctoral Scientist at the Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research in Germany, specializing in anodes for fast charging batteries. A Magna cum laude PhD researcher at ZSW, Prasanth has also held earlier positions in internships and as a lab tutor, solidifying a robust foundation in energy science and technology, backed by a Master’s degree from Ulm University and a Bachelor’s degree from Anna University.
