Bill Goetz has over 15 years of experience in systems engineering and project management. Bill started their career at Trapeze Networks, where they worked as a Project Lead from 2005 to 2008. During this time, they managed various RF applications on Trapeze's Access Points (APs) and was responsible for enhancing RF information collection and management.
In 2008, Bill joined Altierre Corporation as a Director of Systems Engineering. Bill was in charge of software development and the architecture of Access Points and Sync Master products. Bill demonstrated expertise in embedded systems, including bug fixing, Linux device drivers, and FPGA interfacing. Bill also designed and implemented a mechanism for polling and roaming messages between Access Points.
In 2020, Altierre Corporation was acquired by Store Intelligence, and Bill's role transitioned to Senior Manager of Systems Engineering at Store Intelligence. Bill continues to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of new features for the Access Points. Bill's focus is on pushing more features onto the Access Points, as they now serve as Edge devices connecting to Cloud software.
Throughout their career, Bill has shown a strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, as well as a talent for driving performance enhancements in wireless network systems.
Bill Goetz attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1980 to 1983, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Computer Engineering.
