Birgitta Lim Ersland

Birgitta Lim Ersland is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as a Senior Communications Officer at Bydel Østensjø, a position held since August 2023, Birgitta is set to transition to a permanent role in July 2024. Birgitta has been a Subject Editor for Store norske leksikon since November 2014, with academic responsibilities for contemporary Greek history content. Previous experience includes a Communications Officer role at Oslo Taxi AS, where responsibilities included media relations, internal and external communication strategy development, and marketing efforts from January 2020 to August 2023. Additionally, Birgitta acted as Head of Sales, Marketing, and Communication at Ersland tekst og formidling while also working as a freelance writer. Other notable roles include serving as Secretary to the Ambassador at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Norway and working as an editor and proof-reader at Kapabel Forlag AS. Birgitta began their career in caregiving at nursing homes and holds a Master’s Degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution and a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Oslo.
