Øyvind Bergerud

Øyvind Bergerud has extensive work experience in the field of IT security and architecture. Øyvind started their career at Nordic Processor/IBM as a Unix Specialist in 2003. Øyvind then joined Nordea Bank Norge ASA as an IT security architect in October 2003 and held this role until December 2017. During this time, Øyvind was responsible for implementing security solutions and specializing in Tivoli Access Manager.

From January 2007 to December 2009, Øyvind worked as a Security Architect at Nordea, where they implemented an Internet portal for SMB/corporate customers and established a Single Sign-On portal based on Tivoli Access Manager and Activcard, along with integrating third-party vendor software.

In January 2009, Øyvind took on the role of Senior Software Architect at Nordea and continued in that position until November 2012. Øyvind then transitioned to the role of Senior Security Architect/IAM Specialist from November 2012 to December 2017, where they focused on identity and access management.

After leaving Nordea Bank Norge ASA, Øyvind joined Gjensidige in January 2018 as a Senior IT Security Architect, a role they held until June 2022. During their tenure, they served as a key contributor to Gjensidige's IT security team.

Currently, Øyvind is the Head of Security Operations at Storebrand, starting in June 2022. This role demonstrates their advancement in security leadership and responsibility.

Throughout their career, Øyvind has gained expertise in IT security operations, architecture, and identity and access management.

Øyvind Bergerud's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from the University of Oslo (UiO), which was obtained from 1996 to 1998. Prior to that, from 1993 to 1996, they attended Greveskogen school, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period. Additionally, they obtained a degree in Electronic Engineering with a focus on microelectronics and visualization from Sør-Trøndelag University College (HiST) from 1998 to 2001.

In terms of certifications, Øyvind Bergerud acquired the Splunk Cloud Administration certification from Splunk in May 2021. Øyvind also earned the Kusto Detective Agency - Case #1 Badge from Microsoft in November 2022.
