About the Role As the Director of FP&A at Storio Group, you will be a strategic business partner, leading and scaling our FP&A function across the organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the financial strategy of Storio Group and drive business growth through advanced financial modeling and business analytics. 

Reporting directly to the CFO and engaging with the supervisory board, you will lead a team dedicated to providing actionable insights and analyses to guide strategic decisions. 

This position requires a hands-on approach, a passion for operational efficiency, and a commitment to developing a high-performing FP&A team.

Driving Performance

  • Lead and mentor the FP&A team, supporting commercial and operational functions.
  • Collaborate with the Group Executive Team to set and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Analyze budget performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and recommending actions.
  • Provide commercial analysis for strategic decisions, including capital appraisal and cost management.
  • Present insights on key business issues, integrating external trends to enhance performance.

Planning and Reporting

  • Oversee the creation of budgets and financial plans aligned with the business strategy.
  • Establish clear budget and planning processes with defined timelines.
  • Present financial plans to stakeholders, including board-level discussions.
  • Ensure access to high-quality data for effective planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Deliver consistent management reporting to support decision-making.

Accurate Forecasting

  • Create periodic forecasts, addressing risks and guiding actions to achieve goals.
  • Contribute to cash flow forecasting, aligning with EBITDA and Capex plans.
  • Standardize cost forecasting across all factories and outsourcers.

Business Transformation

  • Partner with leadership to ensure robust business cases for projects.
  • Support strategic project discussions with clear financial summaries.
  • Facilitate project implementation through financial reporting and outcome measurement.
  • Act as a backup to the CFO, participating in the business steering committee.
  • Prepare presentations for shareholders and lenders, covering regular and specific reports

Experience and Attributes We’d Like to See

  • 15+ years of experience, with a minimum of 10 years in FP&A roles.
  • ACA, CIMA, or MBA qualified, or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in building, leading, and developing European FP&A teams.
  • Proven ability to enhance performance through compelling analysis and insights in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in creating and implementing reports and analyses.
  • Experience in a customer-focused, ideally B2C, international business.
  • Effective business partner with a talent for leading change and inspiring others through business acumen and emotional intelligence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills.
  • Cultural agility with experience navigating Western Europe and the UK

Nice to Have Experience

  • Experience in post-merger activities is advantageous.
  • knowledge of Dutch, French, German, or Spanish is advantageous
