About the role As an integral member of our accounting team at Storio Group, you'll play a vital role in supporting the Director of Accounting in various internal and external reporting tasks. Your mandate will be to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables, contributing to the smooth operation of our financial processes. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Accounting, interacting with accounting teams, the group team, FP&A, and tax teams across multiple locations to maintain accurate financial reporting.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes for the group.
  • Collaborate with Brand FP&A teams and accounting teams to ensure monthly result accuracy.
  • Ensure COGNOS accurately reflects information from ERP systems.
  • Support the Director of Accounting in managing local accounting teams, covering various functions such as general ledger accounting, purchase ledger, fixed assets, cash management, tax compliance, management reporting, statutory account preparation, and audit.
  • Assist in the migration to Oracle, our chosen Group ERP Solution.
  • Contribute to the professionalization of Finance and Accounting teams by developing and documenting business processes to strengthen internal controls.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and provide constructive suggestions for change.
  • you will be working in a dynamic environment, you'll navigate a diverse set of topics within Finance Departments, driving results independently with limited support. Comfortably collaborating with stakeholders across different regions and functions as a key to success in this role.

Experience and Attributes we'd like to see

  • Relevant work experience in accountancy or audit, ideally in a large SME or small multinational.
  • Systems-focused approach, preferably with experience in Oracle Fusion.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and reporting standards, including IFRS.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and analytical skills.
  • Effective prioritization and organizational abilities.
  • Hands-on, socially skilled, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  • Curious and result-driven mindset.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English; additional proficiency in German, French, or Spanish is advantageous.
