Mike Venske has a strong and diverse work experience in meteorology and client services. Mike began their career as a Meteorologist Supervisor at WeatherBank, Inc. from February 2003 to July 2007.

From November 2012 to September 2015, they worked as a Client Services Manager/Senior Meteorologist at StormGeo, where they ensured the fulfillment of the company's mission for all clients and provided decision support guidance for enhanced operational efficiency.

Mike then served as the Services Implementation Manager, Weather Research Coordinator, and Senior Meteorologist from September 2015 to February 2017. In this role, they initiated contact with potential sales opportunities and led implementation efforts among different internal parties.

From February 2017 to November 2018, Mike took on the role of Industry Manager, Senior Meteorologist at StormGeo, where they identified potential clients within the insurance, restaurant, and hospitality industries. Mike created persuasive proposals and negotiated contract terms.

Mike then became the Account Services Manager, Senior Meteorologist from December 2018 to February 2022. In this position, they interacted with existing clients to ensure their satisfaction and coordinated a team to deliver exceptional service.

Mike was then promoted to Leader of Client Resiliency at StormGeo from December 2019 to February 2022. Mike facilitated client organizations in designing and maintaining business continuity programs and provided technical expertise during sales calls.

In their most recent role at StormGeo, Mike served as the Global Director of Client Services from February 2022 to April 2023. Mike directed a global team of client service representatives and executed special initiatives to deliver outstanding customer experience and optimize business processes.

Currently, Mike holds the position of Director of Sales and Client Services at StormGeo, strengthening the Americas sales team by recruiting and training talents across North, Central, and South America. Mike actively engages in global sales meetings and collaborates with colleagues from various regions.

Mike Venske's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Synoptic Meteorology, which they obtained from Purdue University from 1998 to 2002.

In addition to their formal education, Mike Venske has also obtained various certifications. These certifications include "ISO 9001 Appreciation & Interpretation" and "Internal QMS Auditor" from Lloyd's Register in August 2019. Mike has also completed certifications such as "Introduction to ArcGIS Pro," "Basics of Geographic Coordinate Systems," "Getting Started with GIS," and "Working with Coordinate Systems in ArcGIS" from Esri in 2018.
