Bernard H. Becker, MA, SPHR(L), SHRM-SCP has over 40 years of work experience in various leadership roles in human resources. Bernard H. has extensive executive responsibility for multiple departments in integrated healthcare delivery systems, including acute care hospitals, inpatient mental health facilities, and medical groups. Bernard has directed functions such as recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, payroll, employee health, education and staff development, and volunteers/auxiliary/patient advocacy. Bernard H. has also provided advisory services to healthcare clients as a Vice President of a consulting firm, specializing in areas such as union avoidance, employee communications, and management development. Bernard H. Becker obtained their Bachelor of General Studies (Certificate in Personnel Psychology) from The University of Kansas, where they studied from 1971 to 1974. Bernard H. then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Personnel Management at Central Michigan University from 1979 to 1981. In 1970-1971, they attended the University of Notre Dame for pre-professional studies. As for certifications, Bernard received the Senior Professional in Human Resources (Lifetime) certification from the HR Certification Institute in 1983, and later obtained the SHRM-Senior Certified Professional certification from SHRM in August 2015.
