Felipe Almeida

Felipe Almeida is a software engineer who has worked on system architecture and code development for mission critical, high availability applications. Felipe is currently employed as a software engineer at StormX, and has previous experience working at Direct Talk and MAPS S.A SOLUÇÕES E SERVIÇOS. At Direct Talk, they were responsible for application scalability and high availability, components governance, critical components coding, system architecture and solution patterns used in Direct Talk’s Java and .net SaaS product platform. Felipe also planned and deployed the first Direct Talk production environment on Amazon AWS cloud. As Technical Leader of three software development teams (comprising 22 developers), they were also responsible for defining products roadmap.

At MAPS S.A SOLUÇÕES E SERVIÇOS, they worked as Sr. Software Engineer on System Architecture Team, where they were responsible for team activities planning, components coding, technical frameworks governance, system architecture, coding standards and solution patterns used in several Bankware/Maps products, among them BWAM/Pegasus (a JEE asset management solution) and BWPAGee/Mercurius (a JEE application aimed to connect banks applications to SPB, the Brazilian payment system). Both BWAM and BWPAGee are distributed applications designed to cope with banking industry requirements for availability and scalability. Felipe was also responsible for development and implementation of code-base quality assurance process

Felipe Almeida has a technician degree in electronic from Liceu de Artes e Ofícios de São Paulo and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Universidade de São Paulo.
