Marcin Siudziński

Marcin Siudziński has a strong background in data engineering and architecture. Marcin is currently working as a Senior Data Engineer at Storytel since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Nordcloud, an IBM Company, where they held multiple roles including Data Solutions Architect/Engineer and Engineering Team Leader starting from January 2022.

Before joining Nordcloud, Marcin owned their own company called excl.it since August 2014. Marcin also worked as an External Lecturer at Adam Mickiewicz University starting from April 2016. In October 2016, they co-founded Grzybek Food and served as a Member of the Board until May 2023.

Marcin has also gained experience as a Lead Big Data Engineer at SoftServe from August 2021 to December 2021, and as a Leading Data Engineer at Nordcloud, an IBM Company, from November 2018 to August 2021. In addition, they worked as an AVP Data Engineer/Scientist at Credit Suisse from November 2017 to October 2018, and as a Big Data Specialist at IT Kontrakt from November 2015 to November 2017.

Earlier in their career, Marcin worked as a BI/BigData Consultant at Apollogic from June 2014 to August 2016.

Marcin Siudziński obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Automatics and Management from Poznan University of Technology, where they studied from 2005 to 2010. Marcin later pursued postgraduate degrees at the same institution, specializing in Database Systems from 2013 to 2014, and in Data Warehouses and Data Analysis for Business Purposes from 2014 to 2015.

In terms of additional certifications, Marcin Siudziński has earned the following: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2022, Astronomer Certification for Apache Airflow Fundamentals from Astronomer in January 2022, GCP Professional Cloud Architect from Google in August 2021, GCP Professional Data Engineer from Google in August 2019, Prince2 Practitioner from PeopleCert in May 2018, PRINCE2 Foundation from PeopleCert in April 2018, Microsoft Exam 461: Querying Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014 from Microsoft in 2015, and Microsoft Exam 463: Implementing a Data Warehouse with Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014 from Microsoft in 2015. Marcin Siudziński has also completed various courses on platforms like Coursera, including "Building Resilient Streaming Systems on Google Cloud Platform," "Google Cloud Platform Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals," "Leveraging Unstructured Data with Cloud Dataproc on Google Cloud Platform," "Preparing for the Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Exam," and "Serverless Data Analysis with Google BigQuery and Cloud Dataflow."
