Alvaro de Salvo has a diverse work experience in marketing and communications roles. Alvaro is currently the Marketing Director at Storyteq, a creative automation platform that helps global enterprise companies improve their digital advertising campaigns. Prior to this, Alvaro worked as the Marketing Lead and Brand Strategist at Equanimous Marketing, where they applied branding and storytelling strategies to organizations in various industries. Alvaro also supported Where To Play in generating awareness for their tool "The Market Opportunity Navigator" and revamped their brand and website.
Before joining Equanimous Marketing, Alvaro served as the Head of Global Marketing and Communications at Akvo, a global data technology and consultancy organization. Alvaro led the transition from Comms to Marcomms, established a high-performing team, and implemented inbound and outbound strategies that resulted in qualified leads and new revenue. Alvaro also played a key role in unifying the efforts of sales, product, and hub managers, leading to improved lead-to-close time. Prior to this role, Alvaro was a Communication Executive at Akvo, where they supported senior management and regional teams in adopting a simplified brand story and produced various marketing materials.
Alvaro's previous experiences include working as the Global Communication Manager at Res Artis, a network of arts residencies, and as a Communications & Research Collaborative at On The Move Cultural Mobility, a cultural mobility information network. Alvaro was responsible for designing and implementing communication plans, increasing social media engagement, and conducting research on cultural mobility opportunities.
Alvaro's work experience also includes founding and managing the marketing and administrative operations of Proyecto 'ace, an artist-in-residence center in Buenos Aires. Overall, Alvaro has demonstrated expertise in marketing strategy, brand management, communications, and team leadership throughout their career.
Alvaro de Salvo's education history includes multiple educational experiences. In 2001, they began their studies at the University of Buenos Aires, focusing on Economics. Alvaro continued their education at the same university until 2003, specializing in Business Administration. In 2003, they successfully completed their degree in Business Administration from the School of Economics at the University of Buenos Aires.
In 2010, Alvaro participated in the IAE-NAVES Business Plan Competition at Universidad Austral in Buenos Aires. Following this, in 2013, they attended the University of Amsterdam, specifically the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences, where they completed a Mooc (Massive Open Online Course) titled "Introduction to Communication Science."
In addition to their formal education, Alvaro de Salvo obtained a certification in the "12-Week Growth Hacking Immersive" program from Growth Tribe in November 2021.
