Gary B. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the media industry. Gary is currently working as a Video Automation Developer and After Effects specialist at Storyteq, where they create automated workflows and adds custom logic to After Effects projects. Prior to this, Gary worked as a Visual Artist, VJ, and Video Artist for their own brand, garyberendsen.com. Gary has showcased their work at renowned events such as Tomorrowland and Sensation, and also worked on projects for Louis Vuitton x Marc Jacobs exhibition at the Louvre. Gary has also worked as an After Effects Artist at Postoffice, and as a VJ at Analog Recycling. Before that, Gary gained experience as a Vision Mixer, Video Editor, and Broadcast Technician at various Dutch television networks, including NOB, SBS, RTL, and Dutch National TV. Gary has worked on multiple shows and current affairs programs, including landmark events like 9/11 and the Pim Fortuyn case. During their early career, Gary also contributed to the creation of an on-air font for TMF and developed a planning system for Outside Broadcast shifts.

Gary B. has a diverse educational background in various fields. Gary studied Audio Engineering at SAE Auckland and later enrolled in Auckland University of Technology, where they pursued a degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering. Gary then continued their education at Media Academie, specializing in Broadcast Engineering. Gary further expanded their knowledge by studying Mandarin Chinese at Beijing Language and Culture University. Later, they pursued Psychology & Statistics at Open Universiteit. Before their higher education, Gary attended Mount Albert Grammar School.
