Jon Malysiak

Jon Malysiak is the Global Publishing Manager at StoryTerrace. Jon has over 20 years of experience in publishing, including stints as a literary agent, editor, and publisher.

Jon began their publishing career in 1998 as an Associate Acquisitions Editor at IDG Books, Dummies Press. Jon then moved to Sourcebooks as an Acquisitions Editor in 2001. In 2003, they joined Kaplan Publishing as an Acquisitions Editor.

In 2005, Jon left Kaplan to start their own literary agency and editorial consulting business, Jonathan Scott, Inc. During their time as President of Jonathan Scott, Inc., Jon represented bestselling authors and helped them get their books published. Jon also provided editorial services to authors, helping them to develop and improve their writing.

In 2012, Jon left Jonathan Scott, Inc. to join the American Bar Association as Executive Editor. Jon oversaw the publication of legal books and journals for the ABA. In 2015, they were promoted to Director of Ankerwycke Books, an imprint of ABA Publishing.

In 2017, Jon left the ABA to join Packt as Producer (Operations and Marketing Communications). Jon oversaw the production of technical books and eBooks for Packt. Jon left Packt in 2020 to join StoryTerrace as UK Editorial Team Manager.

Jon Malysiak has an Executive MBA from UCL, a professional certification in integrated marketing from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a master's degree in secondary education from Roosevelt University, an MA in English from DePaul University, and a BA in music/theatre from Knox College. Jon also has a master's degree in secondary education and teaching from Roosevelt University.

They are on a team with Linsey Huybrechts - Senior People Operations Associate, Benjamin Wilhelm - North America Senior Account Executive, and Demetrio Peña - Bookkeeper. Their manager is Rutger Bruining, Founder & CEO.
