Zhongheng Li is a Lead Machine Learning Engineer at STR, responsible for pioneering Deep Reinforcement Learning research in various defense-related programs funded by DARPA, NAVAIR, and AFRL, with notable success in winning DARPA’s AIR Phase 2 program. Previously, Zhongheng held roles as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer and Machine Learning Engineer at STR, specializing in R&D and transitioning projects to production within the defense sector. Additional experience includes a Data Engineer Fellowship at Insight Data Science, a Graduate Research Assistant position at NYU Center for Urban Science + Progress, and roles in mobile application development and prototype design across various companies, including Verizon Labs and Bloomberg LP. Zhongheng holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from NYU Tandon School of Engineering and dual Bachelor's Degrees in Information Systems Engineering and Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Stony Brook University.
