Kyle Hovey

Kyle Hovey is currently the Lead Service Technician at StraightUp Solar. Prior to that, they worked as an Administrative Staffer at Keystone Event Staffing from February 2015 to February 2018. There, they were responsible for maintaining inventory cost and pricing using a point of sale computer system, designing and editing business presentations, as well as some minor graphic design. Kyle also regularly met with management to guarantee project satisfaction. Kyle has a proven ability to quickly assimilate into new work environments to fulfill employers’ needs and regularly exceeds expectations.

Before Keystone Event Staffing, Kyle worked as a Media Circulation Assistant at St. Louis Community College from August 2011 to May 2013. There, they delivered, set up, and retrieved media equipment including computers, projectors, and cameras. Kyle also met strict time windows to ensure smooth service as classes transitioned between rooms. Additionally, Kyle interfaced with faculty to explain equipment operation and patiently troubleshoot problems. Lastly, they checked quantities and locations to keep a well-organized inventory.

Prior to their work at St. Louis Community College, Kyle worked as a Custodian at IDEX from January 2009 to December 2014. And before that, they were a Guest Service Agent at Drury Hotels from May 2008 to January 2011.

Kyle Hovey has an associate's degree in general studies from Saint Louis Community College. Kyle also has a certification from ClickSafety in OSHA 10-Hour Construction and a certification from NABCEP: North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners in NABCEP Photovoltaic Associate. Kyle is also certified by the North American Training Group in Annual Insurance Fraud Training.

They are on a team with Julian Alcala - Service Technician, Trevor Schwartz - Service Technician, and Madelyn Thompson - Project Manager, Service & O&M. Their manager is Tom Miller, Director, Service & O&M.
