Chia Yeou Cheong

Chia Yeou Cheong has a diverse work experience in the construction industry. Chia started as the Head of Learning and Development at Straits Construction Singapore Pte Ltd in October 2017. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Manager, Training & Development at the same company from September 2013 to October 2017. Before joining Straits Construction, Chia worked as a Director at Building Consulting Group Pte Ltd from August 2009 to August 2013, and at Buzworkz International Pte Ltd from August 2004 to August 2013. Chia also served as a Senior Manager at the Building and Construction Authority from April 1999 to July 2004, and as a Manager, Training & Development and Head, Manpower Policies at the Construction Industry Development Board from 1994 to 1999.

Chia Yeou Cheong completed their education with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) degree in Civil from the National University of Singapore in 1981-1982. Chia then pursued further studies and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Hull in 1990-1992. In between, they also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) degree in Civil from Nanyang Technological University Singapore in 1982-1985.
