Lena Konovalenko is a seasoned professional in the field of environmental science and regulation, currently serving as a Scientific Officer in the Regulation and Knowledge Development Division at Strålsäkerhetsmyndigheten since January 2023. Prior to this role, Lena contributed to environmental assessments as a Scientific Officer at the Swedish Chemicals Agency from June 2016 to January 2023. Lena's academic background includes a Ph.D. from Stockholm University, where research activities were conducted from 2011 to May 2016. Additionally, Lena has extensive experience as a Consultant, Radioecologist, Modeler, and Project Leader at Facilia AB from 2006 to December 2015, focusing on safety assessments in radioactive waste management and radiation protection. Early career involvement included engineering work at UHMI from 1998 to 2000.
