Gavin Helgeland

Chief Geologist at Strandline Resources

Gavin Helgeland has been working in the geology field since 2003. Gavin began their career as a Senior Project Geologist for Iluka Resources, where they were responsible for the Project Development of Jacinth-Ambrosia Alliance and the Senior Resource Geologist for Eucla Basin Team, as well as supervision of Resource drilling campaigns. In 2008, they became a Senior Exploration & Resource Development Geologist for Cristal, where their responsibilities included supervision of Exploration and Project teams, Tenement Management, and estimation, valuation, and ranking of all existing mineral Resources. In 2012, they moved to Amec Foster Wheeler as a Senior Geological Consultant, where they were responsible for Resource evaluation, Resource estimation, and Due diligence studies. In 2021, they became the Chief Geologist for Kalbar Operations Pty Ltd, and in 2023 they began working as the Chief Geologist for Strandline Resources Limited.

Gavin Helgeland attended Newton Moore Senior High School from 1986 to 1990. Gavin then went on to Curtin University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geology, graduating in 1996.
