Prabhakar Rajagopal

Prabhakar Rajagopal is a highly experienced professional currently serving as a Director at Strand Life Sciences since April 2001, where involvement includes the avadis data mining and visualization platform, GeneSpring Gene Expression Analysis product, and Strand Enterprise Product, along with managing computing infrastructure and designing the India Biodiversity Portal. Concurrently, Prabhakar holds the position of Senior Fellow at the Ashok Trust for Research in Environment and Ecology, focusing on GIS and ecology projects, mountain ecosystem research, and leading the India Biodiversity Portal. Previously, from August 1996 to March 2001, Prabhakar was an Associate Professor at the Institute of Rural Management, Anand, where responsibilities included teaching, research, and establishing a Geographical Information Systems lab centered on ecological security in the Central Himalayas. Prabhakar completed a PhD in Biological Sciences at the Indian Institute of Science and holds an MS in Biomedical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, along with foundational education at Kendriya Vidyalaya.
