Lead Industrial Designer at STRAP Technologies

Javi De Leon has a work experience spanning several years in various design roles. In 2018, they worked as an Interior Designer at Jose Lo Maderista, focusing on design projects for interior spaces. Javi also worked as a Product Designer at both Embargo Collectibles and RUUM, where they were involved in designing and developing products. In 2019, Javi worked as a Furniture Designer at Peca, contributing to the design of furniture pieces. Additionally, they held a Product Designer role at Cool Human, where they worked from 2019 to 2020. Currently, Javi is working as a Lead Industrial Designer at Strap Technologies. In this role, they are involved in human-centered research, development, and product design, as well as marketing support and customer service.

Javi De Leon attended Tecnológico de Monterrey from 2013 to 2019, where they pursued a degree in Industrial Design, specifically focusing on Industrial and Product Design. In 2018, they also studied Furniture Design with a specialization at Linköping University in a short-term program.

In addition to their formal education, Javi De Leon obtained additional certifications. In August 2021, they completed a Critical Design Seminar at delaO design studio, and in September 2022, they received a certification from Offsite.
