Brian Kirk

Brian Kirk has extensive experience in the field of cybersecurity and information technology spanning over two decades. Currently, they hold the role of Vice President of Cybersecurity Services for Strata Information Group where they are responsible for developing and leading their cybersecurity consulting practice. Previously, they worked as Director of Cybersecurity for Elliott Davis, where they developed and managed an enterprise cybersecurity consulting practice for a regional accounting and advisory firm. Kirk also served as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for CH2M, where they built and managed their information security program. In addition, they held positions as Network and Security Manager for CH2M, Network and Operations Manager for Lockwood Greene Engineers, Vice President of Technology for Systems Services Group, Systems Engineer for New Age Systems, and Support Engineer for Clemson University. Kirk's experience includes managing teams to perform cybersecurity services such as vulnerability scanning, policy development, tabletop exercises, network architecture reviews, awareness training, CISO advisory, security cloud and framework assessments (NIST, CIS, CMMC), and penetration testing.

Brian Kirk earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Clemson University in 1992. Brian also obtained various certifications, including CISSP from (ISC)² in 2014, GIAC Security Essentials from SANS Institute in 2006, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Windows Server 2000 from Microsoft in 1999, and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) from Cisco in 1998.
