Jennifer Heilman Flanery

Jennifer Heilman Flanery has extensive work experience in strategic planning, marketing, communications, and public relations. Jennifer has held various leadership roles in companies such as Stratacomm and Arlington County. At Stratacomm, they served as a Senior Vice President, leading multi-agency teams to support national behavior change marketing campaigns for the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Jennifer also served as a Vice President, successfully managing a $16+ million contract for integrated marketing and communication support for vehicle safety programs and campaigns. Prior to their time at Stratacomm, they worked at Arlington County as a Communications Specialist, where they were responsible for managing media relations, crisis communications, and community outreach efforts for transportation and infrastructure projects. Jennifer also served as the President of Elon University's Washington, D.C. Alumni Chapter, acting as a liaison between the chapter and the university. Jennifer's experience also includes roles at the Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington, National Museum of Health and Medicine, Greensboro News & Record, and Girls' Life magazine, where they gained valuable skills in communications, marketing, and public affairs.

Jennifer Heilman Flanery completed their high school education at The John Carroll School from 1999 to 2003. Jennifer then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism at Elon University from 2003 to 2007. After completing their undergraduate studies, Jennifer went on to earn a Master's degree in Journalism and Public Affairs from American University between 2007 and 2009.
