Bob Brown, PMP has extensive work experience in IT management, project management, and consulting. Bob started their career in 1982 as a Programmer at Colonial Bank, where they worked until 1988. Bob then joined Computer Task Group as an IT Consultant, where they developed applications, administered databases, and managed projects for clients such as Coca-Cola and Georgia-Pacific. Bob also assisted in training new IT staff and served on the security architecture team at Coca-Cola USA.
In 1990, Bob joined Coca-Cola Enterprises as an IT Consultant with CTG, where their responsibilities included developing applications, administering databases, and managing projects. Bob also served as a database administrator and was a part of the security architecture team at Coca-Cola USA. From 1992 to 1994, Bob worked as a Consultant at The Riley Group, where they collaborated with private and governmental clients to design, develop, and implement custom application systems.
In 1994, Bob joined Schlumberger as an IT Manager, where they managed the IT staff in a high-volume manufacturing operation. Bob developed goals and objectives for the IT staff, managed large projects at both the departmental and enterprise level, and directed and implemented technology strategies. Bob held this position until 2001.
After leaving Schlumberger, Bob started their own consulting company called Brown Technical Consulting. As the Founder and Principal, they provided IT Project Management, Vendor Evaluations, and Business Process Improvement Consulting services. Additionally, they helped teams communicate more efficiently using inexpensive cloud-based tools.
In 2016, Bob joined Strategic Information Group as a Senior Project Manager. Here, they helped companies achieve their corporate goals by implementing enterprise technology solutions such as ERP, CRM, and Quality Management systems. Their role involved ensuring projects were delivered on time and on budget, maximizing the value of the technology for clients.
Throughout their career, Bob has demonstrated their expertise in project management, IT management, system design, database administration, and application development. Their experience spans working with start-ups, multinationals, and market leaders.
Bob Brown has an MBA in Management from Liberty University and a BA in Management and Computer Science from Huntingdon College. Bob also studied Business at Auburn University at Montgomery. In addition to their degrees, Bob Brown obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in March 2017.
